The task
The goal of this project was to build a COACH (remote control) and a PLAYER (hovering robot). The game was to perform 3 against 3 soccer. Each team was made of 5 PLAYERS but only 3 of them were allowed to play at the same time. Once the energy level of the robot was less than 10%, no kicking was allowed.
The flying Dutchman overview
Our PLAYER is a pirate ship designed to be extremely fast. It hovers thanks to a fan placed in the middle of the boat. Two propellers in the back are used to create thrust and steering. The kicking mechanism consists of a door lock motor mounted on the vessel's bow.
